It's a vehicle licensed by the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission, so you can legally drive for apps like Uber and Lyft. The plate looks like T8492C.
Do I need a TLC license to rent a vehicle?
Yes. To rent and drive a TLC-plated vehicle you must hold a valid NYC TLC driver license. You confirm it once during verification, then browse freely.
How does the security deposit work?
Your deposit is held in escrow at reservation. At handoff it is returned to you, minus any charges both sides documented and agreed to.
When do owners get paid?
Payouts run automatically every week once the agreement is signed and the rental is active, deposited straight to the owner's connected account.
